hi, i'm just curious because i know due to the recent heartbleed bug that everyone is making sure to log out after using a site. but does this also apply to phone applications, because i have twitter, instagram and youtube on my phone and logging in and out can be quite troublesome. what's your advice?

Hi Anon,

To be honest once a website has updated there security it does not matter if you stayed logged in or not.  So you can stay log in and you wont have any issues.  People are just panicking about this bug but to be honest most websites have resolved this issue so you don’t need to worry.

I hope this helps answer your question :).

is everything safe with the heartbleed bug now? i've been reading articles and it's only serving to heightened my anxiety. i've changed my passwords (planning on changing the more important emails to more secure passwords) but i'm still worried.

Hello Anon,

I will say you have nothing to worry about.   Most websites have secured there servers and the “Heartbleed” bug wont touch them or their users.  You have already done the right thing and changed your passwords.  I think its safe to say that everything will be ok.  This is coming from a network security expert :).  It was a scare but now its just another story.  Hope this helps.

hello! my phone has the affected OpenSSL connection but my device is not vulnerable. i have a samsung note 2 and i was wondering if you knew when samsung was going to release a software update or if google has already released an update. i think google has released something for androids, but my lookout heartbleed app still shows the affected OpenSSL.

Hello Anon,

I understand your concern and I can for sure tell you that your going to be ok. Most websites have patched this hole and things are getting better quickly. As for the phone there is no release date at this time for a patch but I do know Google is working on patching them up. We just have to be patient until the update gets pushed to us. To check if you have any updates go to settings on your phone and select about phone. There should be a check for updates button. If you have any more questions just let me know.
